On July 4, 2024, SAFE-RH project meeting was held at Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST). The meeting was graced by the presence of coordinator SAFE-RH, Professor Dr. Naeem Ramazan, University of West Scotland, UK, who visited CUST alongside a team from COMSATS Wah.

The CUST team extended a warm welcome to the visiting dignitaries, and the meeting commenced at 10 am. The primary agenda item was the final testing of the MIS system and the discussion on the SAFE-RH deliverables. Prof. Dr. Nayyer Masood presented the overall progress w.r.t deliverables of the SAFE-RH project and opened the forum for discussion on further agenda points. 

Later on, Mr. Salman Ahmed demonstrated the MIS, which was successfully tested by the guests, including Dr. Nasra Kiran from the UK, by following different use cases. Mr. Nabeel booked an appointment remotely from the SAFE-RH lab with Dr. Nasra Kiran and processed the appointment. The vitals from the devices were obtained from the sensors in real time.

SAFE-RH's main coordinator, Professor Dr. Naeem Ramzan, appreciated the CUST SAFE-RH team for making remarkable progress. Following the testing, an opening ceremony was held at the SAFE-RH lab to launch the Old Homes Monitoring Pilot project. During the ceremony, the AI modules for stroke prediction and fall detection were presented with remarkable real-time accuracy. The environmental modules, such as motion detection and humidity monitoring developed under the project, were also showcased.

The meeting marked the culmination of a fruitful collaboration between CUST, the University of West Scotland, and COMSATS Wah. The successful completion of the project is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the teams involved.

Summary of Activities

  1. 1. Arrival and Welcome: The meeting began at 10:00 a.m. with the arrival of team members and settling down in the M-Block Staff Room.
  2. 2. General Discussion on Project Deliverables: Dr. Naeem Ramzan led a general discussion on project deliverables at 10:15 a.m.
  3. 3. Discussion on Deliverables of CUST: Prof. Dr. Nayyer Masood discussed the specific deliverables of CUST at 10:45 a.m.
  4. 4. Tea Break: A tea break was taken at 12:00 p.m.
  5. 5. Testing of MIS (Test Cases): Mr. Salman Ahmed led the testing of the MIS system's test cases at 12:30 p.m.
  6. 6. Lunch Break: A lunch break was taken at 2:00 p.m.
  7. 7. Testing of MIS (Test Cases and Fall Detection): Further testing of the MIS system, including fall detection, was conducted by, Ms. Saba, and Mr. Nabeel at 3:00 p.m.
  8. 8. Conclusion: The day concluded at 5:00 p.m. after a successful series of activities.

The successful completion of the project and the inauguration of the Old Homes Monitoring Pilot project are significant milestones, showcasing the advanced AI and environmental modules developed under the collaboration.
