Dr. Saima Gulzar Ahmad, along with co-authors Muhammad Ali Arif, Ahmad Hassan, Kashif Ayyub, Ehsan Ullah Munir, and Naeem Ramzan, has published a research paper titled “IoT-Based Smart Wearable Belt for Tracking Fetal Kicks and Movements in Expectant Mothers” in IEEE Sensors Journal (Vol. 25, Issue 14, 2025, IF: 4.3).
This innovative study presents an IoT-enabled wearable belt designed to monitor fetal movements and maternal health parameters in real time. The system offers a reliable, non-invasive, and continuous monitoring solution to support prenatal care—especially beneficial for expectant mothers in remote or resource-limited areas.
